Néstor Gorosito a la UC: La segunda venida del creador

Dos años jugó Néstor Gorosito en su segunda etapa en Universidad Católica entre 1999 y 2001. Los mismos dos años en los que brilló entre 1994 y 1995 en su primera estadía. Los rendimientos fueron muy distintos. Solo los primeros seis meses de 1999 dieron para pensar que nada había cambiado entre ese Pipo que hacía dupla con Alberto Acosta y el que ahora formaba tándem con el recuperado Sebastián Rozental. Tras esos grandes seis meses junto a Gorosito, el zurdo pudo volver al primer equipo del Glasgow Rangers, antes de jugar en Independiente de Argentina y Colo Colo.

El regreso de Néstor Gorosito a Universidad Católica se concretó el 24 de junio de 1999 en el receso de la Copa América de Paraguay. Pipo, cuándo no, venía desde San Lorenzo, equipo con el que había enfrentado varias veces a la UC en Copa Mercosur. Hasta 1997 había estado en la selección albiceleste. El argentino llegó a San Carlos con el plan de retirarse un par de años después. El contrato era por dos años, prorrogable seis meses más hasta fines del 2001. También incluía un partido de despedida, el partido que en cierta medida lo fue alejando de la UC. Nunca se hizo y el Pipo demandó al club en 100 mil dólares. La institución se defendió con todo y ganó un juicio en 2011, diez años después de su último partido. Adujo que fue Pipo quien nunca la organizó, la obligación que estaba estipulada en el contrato.

En lo futbolístico, Gorosito llegó a la UC para jugar el segundo semestre de 1999. Le quitó la 10 a Marcelo Carracedo, quien se quedó con la 9 de Héctor Tapia. El entrenador era Fernando Cravallo, a quien le cayó pintada la incrustación del Pipo y Rozental a un equipo que empezaba a sufrir. La UC remontó y jugó bien. Gorosito jugaría 25 partidos y anotaría 4 goles. Rozental haría 22 tantos en 27 partidos. Pero, al igual que el 94 y 95, se encontraron con la U. Ésta de Vaccia volaba mucho más que la de Socías. Jugaba con líbero y stoppers jóvenes, con carrileros veloces como Arancibia y Tello, seguía Valencia y el Leo Rodríguez, tenía a Pedro González en estado de gracia. Maestri siempre estaba ahí. Esa U arrasó. Repitiría en el 2000.

El 2000 a la UC llegó Wim Rijsbergen. No le gustó a la dirigencia que los logros de Fernando Carvallo fueran solo clasificar a Copa Libertadores. El DT holandés quería revolución, pero mantuvo a Lepe y Gorosito en el plantel. Y los hizo jugar bastante, medio a regañadientes. El Pipo de a poco perdió protagonismo ante la irrupción de Milovan Mirosevic, un conductor más del gusto de Rijsbergen. Ese 2000 Gorosito jugó 28 partidos, entre titularidades y suplencias, e hizo 1 gol.

El 2001, pese a no clasificar a Copa Libertadores, comenzó con el holandés en la banca. Esta vez había pedido un conductor de su gusto. Llegó José Luis Díaz, a quien le dieron la camiseta 9. La 10 seguía siendo del Pipo Gorosito, quien terminaba contrato el 30 de junio, pero con la esperanza intacta de renovarlo hasta fin de año. Ni Pipo llegó a fin de año, ni el DT holandés a la mitad del 2001. Fue despedido y contrataron a Juvenal Olmos, excompañero del Pipo en 1994 y 1995. Se prendía una llamita para el Pipo, quien seguía teniendo minutos. Hasta más que Buonanotte en el actual plantel.

Los primeros días de Olmos en la UC estuvieron marcados por la continuidad del Pipo. Los extranjeros de esa Católica eran Johnny Walker, Celio Silva, Gorosito y José Luis Díaz. El central brasileño partiría y Olmos pediría la llegada de Pablo Lenci. Al DT también le habían acercado a Ivan Gabrich, exAjax de Holanda. Necesitaba un cupo. Ése era el de Gorosito, ya con 37 años a cuestas, conductor de los de antes en un equipo que pensaba jugar sin 10. No fue tan traumático. El contrato se acababa, no era necesario una negociación. El volante argentino se fue con homenaje en San Carlos. Ese primer semestre del 2001 jugó 10 partidos y no hizo goles. La camiseta 10 pasaría a ser de José Luis Díaz e Iván Gabrich se quedaría con la 9.

La demanda de Néstor Raúl a la UC empezó recién en 2007, seis años después del retiro. Para muchos, con eso sentenció su no llegada a la UC mientras algunos de los involucrados en ese directorio tuviera injerencia en el actual de Cruzados. Aún así fue invitado a jugar partidos de las viejas glorias con el Beto, Reinoso, Lunari, entre otro. En una de esas venidas habría “encarado” al presidente de la época, a quien lo habían apuntado como el culpable de no tenerlo en cuenta en los momentos en que la UC buscó DT en los 2010. “Eso es mentira, mi hijo hasta tiene un póster suyo en la habitación”, le dijo en ese entonces mandamás cruzado. Con eso se quedó el Pipo y no insistió más.

Hoy es mucho mejor DT que hace años atrás. Sus pasos por Xerez de España, por Argentinos Juniors, Tigre y Olimpia lo hicieron crecer. Con los dos últimos fue campeón jugando bien y sin cerrarse nunca a la opción de jugar con un conductor. Bien lo sabe Montillo, el 10 que renació de la mano de otro 10. Cosas de creadores.
