Cuando Míster Pipa perdió a tres de sus referentes daba vueltas en círculos por Villa Feliz. Sam, Pelusa y Torito habían sido vendidos al Champiñón de la Segunda División del fútbol francés para luchar por el Ascenso. Era cosa de tiempo. El histórico arquero, central y número siete en algún momento se tenían que ir. El tema era cómo reemplazarlos.

El DT se cayó en primera instancia. Trajo clones de los tres ídolos del equipo para suplirlos. Terminaron siendo las peores incorporaciones en la historia de Barrabases. A los reemplazantes necesitaba verlos en cancha y no solo por su parecido físico. Un cuadrangular en el Parque de los Príncipes con el propio Champiñon, más Barcelona y el Patinakos de Grecia, estaba a la vuelta de la esquina. Cuatro rivales difíciles que iban a marcar el futuro del equipo rojo.

El reemplazante del histórico arquero estaba en casa. Lo tenían ahí hace años, pero no lo habían notado. Nunca lo habían examinado en partidos importantes, con equipos protagonistas.  Patas de Palillo, hombre de la cantera, se quedó con el puesto de Sam.  Al reemplazante de Pelusa hubo que ir a buscarlo al fútbol extranjero. El argentino Copete, elegante defensor, era el indiciado para ir por el a veces desordenado defensor. Su buena pinta se desdecía con lo fiero que era en la marca.

Por Torito llegó el hombre que más destacó, el que se llevó todos los flashes. Jugaban en el mismo puesto, pero no eran lo mismo. Mientras el 7 histórico destacaba por su elegancia para ir por la banda, y por juntarse de buena manera con Pirulete, su reemplazante Motoneta se hacía conocido por ir para adelante, sin importar a quien tuviera al frente. Aprovechaba su velocidad y su regate en altos kms/h.  A veces, hasta terminaba chocando con los estáticos. Muchas veces salió lesionado por peleas sin pelota con los rivales. Los sacaba de quicio, jugaba todos los partidos igual. Había que ganar siempre.

“Todos los partidos son importantes, no los veo como amistosos. Los juego como un partido oficial y es la consigna de todos. Vivirlo como una final y así se notó en la cancha”. La frase no es de Motoneta después de vencer al Barcelona en el Parque de los Príncipes, sino que de Joaquín Montecinos luego de ser la gran figura del partido ante México en Norteamérica. Motoneta, tras sus buenos partidos en Francia, se terminó quedando en Champiñón. Ojalá Montecinos no se quede en América del Norte y pueda dar el salto a Argentina, Brasil o Europa.

Comenzó como volante de contención y le decían el “Nuevo Vidal”. Luego fue interior derecho, luego lateral volante y luego puntero diestro en Melipilla y Audax. En los audinos también las ofició de centrodelantero y puntero izquierdo. Donde mejor rinde es pegado a la línea derecha, en mano a mano con el lateral izquierda rival, sacando centros entre arquero y defensas, haciendo diagonales, probando al arco. Ahí debería ser titular en la selección chilena, en el puesto donde mejor ha rendido Alexis Sánchez en la Era Lasarte, el Torito de Míster Pipa.

Contra México, el arquero también estaba en casa. Sebastián Pérez rindió tan bien reemplazando a Claudio Bravo, como lo hizo Patas de Palillo en lugar de Sam. Atajador como pocos, no es un clon de Bravo jugando con los pies, pero lo suple con sus reflejos bajo los tres palos, y también un poco más adelante de ellos. ¿Copete? El elegante Kuscevic fue el mejorcito de la defensa, sobre todo por los puntos que perdió Vegas por su error en el primer gol. A Benjamín hubo que ir a buscarlo a Brasil. Siempre ha estado ahí, disponible. Otro nombre que se suma cuando ya no esté Medel.

Lo de Montecinos fue lo más destacado. Rápido, intenso, peleador. Se ganó los halagos de propios  y extraños. Alabanzas en Chile, pero sobre todo en México, donde ya lo imaginan con la camiseta del Cruz Azul. Algo mejor llegará para Montecinos. Ser un Motoneta tiene sus desventajas, pero también muchas cosas a favor. Al personaje de Barrabases lo moldearon y lo dejaron jugando en Europa. La Libertadores es el próximo objetivo de Audax Italiano, y Joaquín Montecinos el hombre de la portada. Motoneta se ganó dos en Barrabases.
